Damping Technology
Keeping the rubber on the road – or dirt.
Multimatic’s race-proven spool valve dampers are featured on select high performance production vehicles.
A traditional, deflected-disc damper only offers two force-velocity curves for tuning. The ZR2 dampers offer six tuning curves for the front, four at the rear. For the driver, this translates to greater confidence and control in a wider range of driving experiences.

No more technicians, no more dynos to sort the characteristics, because it is all defined by a mathematical equation that fully predicts the response: give us what damper curve you want, and we’ll give you a spool!
Whatever their configuration, DSSV’s hardware/software approach and precisely configured spool valves offer clear-cut advantages over traditional shim dampers:
1
Highly configurable for a wide range of applications.
2
Highly repeatable and consistent damping characteristics with enhanced damper tunability.
3
Reduced development time due to great flexibility and speed in damping characteristic selection.
4
Very high resistance to cavitation in valve-in-body applications.
5
High temperature insensitivity.
6
A complete vehicle dynamics solution to support damper development.
