Multimatic Bolsters Vehicle Dynamics Capabilities

Peter Gibbons joins Multimatic as Technical Director of Vehicle Dynamics having forged an outstanding engineering career in the upper echelon of the motorsports industry. As race engineer/technical director to the winner of six Indy Car Championships and four Indianapolis 500’s, Gibbons boasts an impressive success record and most recently occupied the position of Chief Engineer at Andretti Autosport.

Gibbons has been a technical mainstay in open wheel racing ever since he joined Penske in 1979, immediately after earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts, USA. He has worked with iconic drivers such as Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario & Michael Andretti, Rick Mears, Nigel Mansell, Dario Franchitti and Christiano Da Matta, and with powerhouse teams Andretti, Newman/Haas and Penske.
