Riley-Multimatic Partnership Delivers First IMSA DPi Debut with Mazda
November 16th, 2016 – Mazda has unveiled its new RT24-P racecar at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Based on the Riley Mk. 30 LMP2 chassis jointly developed by Multimatic and Riley Technologies, this is the first Daytona Prototype international (DPi) to be publicly revealed. Multimatic worked closely with Mazda’s design team to validate the car’s aerodynamics while integrating Mazda’s KODO design cues into the composite bodywork.
Designed for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s top prototype class, Mazda’s RT24-P will make its racing debut at the 55th running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.
