Tools Required

  • Printer
  • 8.5 x 11” paper (preferably 80 lb/216 gsm cardstock)
  • Ruler
  • Scissors and/or craft knife
  • Glue (preferably hot glue or superglue)

General Papercraft Tips

  • For optimal results, use cardstock (80 lb/216 gsm).
  • Pre-bend all folds/tabs before beginning assembly.
  • For clean and easy bends, score the backside of each fold using a ballpoint pen.
  • It is easiest to start working from the roof outwards when assembling the model.
  • The rear diffuser and wing should be preassembled and glued before mounting onto the car at the end of assembly.
  • Hot glue or superglue allows for strong quick-setting bonds.
  • Use caution when handling hot glue to avoid accidental burns or spills; use in a well-ventilated area.
  • If using hot glue, mistakes can be remedied by holding the hot tip of the glue gun against the backside of a bonded tab. The glue will become viscous again once it warms up and can be repositioned for removal without damaging the paper components.
