Multimatic has undertaken a range of successful motorsports contract engineering and development projects.

  • Multimatic developed and constructed the Ford GTs campaigning in both the WEC and IMSA.
  • Mazda's RT24-P was the first IMSA DPi racer produced under a Multimatic-Riley partnership.
  • Ford Performance contracted Multimatic to develop and build its FR500C, Boss 302R and GT4 competition Mustangs.
  • In its first full year of competition, Multimatic's Ford Shelby GT350R-C took triple championship titles in IMSA CTSC.
  • Mazda's B12/60 Skyactiv-D was engineered by ex-Lola staff at Multimatic Huntingdon in the U.K.
  • The FIA GT3 Mustang Mk2 was engineered and developed by Multimatic for MarcVDS Racing.
  • The Panoz Esperante GTLM was developed by Multimatic and won its class at Sebring in 2006.
  • Multimatic's 2002/3 Ford Focus Daytona Prototype was the early standard bearer in Grand-Am.

Since the early 1990’s, Multimatic’s competition programs have grown in scope and international recognition. From beginnings as a training ground for engineers, Multimatic Motorsports has grown to become an important technical partner with organizations such as Ford Performance, Lola, Panoz, Riley, Mazda and Aston Martin. Today, Multimatic Motorsports provides technical, operational and production support to numerous race teams and manufacturers throughout the top ranks of international motor racing.
