The HRT 427 is a vehicle conceived by HSV (Holden Special Vehicles). It is a new entry into the high performance road car category in Australia.
Multimatic was awarded the contract to improve vehicle control and handling characteristics through the development of a significantly revised front suspension.

| Front SLA suspension system replaces MacPherson Strut |
Chassis/Suspension Development
Multimatic replaced the stock MacPherson strut front suspension with a double wishbone "Motorsports" style system with optimised geometry. This approach achieved the following:
- improved camber stiffness
- improved camber gain
- improved roll centre control
- improved anti-dive characteristics
- lowered ride height
- optimised spring rates and damping
