SR2 Sports Car

Design, development, analysis and testing of an aluminum extrusion and honeycomb-paneled semi-monocoque, and optimization of a lightweight aluminum energy absorption structure. Advanced nonlinear dynamic simulations are essential in meeting design requirements without extensive build-and-test iteration loops.

From basic suspension kinematics analysis through to advanced full vehicle driving simulations, vehicle dynamics analysis was also used in the development of the SR2. Simulations are used to assess ride and handling performance and provide excellent metrics for correlation with physical testing.
