Multimatic DSSV™ at SEMA 2018

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (October 30th, 2018) ― Hot off the race track where Multimatic DSSV™ equipped race cars continue to win championships, and off-road where a DSSV Position Sensitive Damper equipped Colorado ZR2 smashed its division’s “Vegas to Reno” race time; Multimatic DSSV damping technology will be prominently featured during the 2018 SEMA show in Las Vegas on many performance vehicles including the Ford GT, Camaro ZL1 1LE, and Colorado ZR2 Bison.

Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 DSSV Competition Dampers

Also at SEMA, Chevrolet Performance will officially introduce long-travel race-inspired variants of the Colorado ZR2’s Multimatic DSSV position sensitive dampers to its aftermarket parts catalog. While the stock ZR2 is widely recognized for its off-road and on-road prowess, these dampers will be at the heart of new comprehensive suspension upgrade packages specifically engineered for extreme off-road competition. Hall Racing’s Colorado ZR2 torture-tested and proved out these packages during 2017/2018 by way of class wins in punishing desert endurance races including the Tonopah 250, Parker 425, Mint 400, Silver State 300 and General Tire “Vegas to Reno”.

Multimatic’s DSSV technology has been embraced by global OEMs on many high-profile programs such as the Ford GT, Mercedes-AMG GT, and Aston Martin Vulcan. This came after decades of the technology’s dominance in top-echelon global motorsports including most recently winning the IMSA GTLM and CTSC GS manufacturer’s championships with the Multimatic built Ford GT and Ford Mustang GT4. The unique valving, mathematical predictability, inherent stability and repeatability of Multimatic spool-valve damping has been instrumental in delivering multiple championships in Formula 1, IndyCar, IMSA and WEC. OEMs recognize that these same qualities translate to production applications, resulting in damping curves that simultaneously optimize ride and handling, on-road or off.
