Multimatic Strengthens Technology Deployment Initiative with the Addition of Global Business Director Patrick Kinsie

MARKHAM, Ontario (October 14th, 2011) – Multimatic has intensified its focus on bringing innovative technology to market with the appointment of Patrick Kinsie as Executive Director of Global Business Development. Patrick’s 25 years of experience in the commercialization of new automotive technologies will significantly enhance Multimatic’s already strong position amongst the industry’s leading innovators.

Patrick joins Multimatic having forged a highly successful career in the areas of business, product and sales development within the global automotive industry. His passion and most significant successes have been associated with the commercialization of emerging technologies, offering a tremendous synergy with Multimatic’s commitment to developing an entirely innovative product portfolio. Previously held senior executive positions with Ventra Group, Stackpole and ZENN Motor Company have allowed Patrick to experience a broad and diverse range of products and business models. His automotive career started at Magna where he worked with many members of Multimatic’s present engineering team. Patrick holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Multimatic Engineering’s Vice President, Larry Holt stated: “We are thrilled to have Patrick join the team as his expertise is a perfect fit with Multimatic’s goal of solving our customer’s technical problems and embodying those solutions in the products that we sell. We know our future growth is going to come from our in-house developed technologies and Patrick has a fantastic track record of bringing new stuff to market. We have a wide range of new innovative products under development at the moment and he will be a catalyst for their commercialization. He and I worked together at Magna all those years ago and I have watched his career grow, including a time as a competitor, and have tremendous respect for what he has achieved, and big expectations for what he is going to do in the future.”

Patrick commented: “Anyone with a degree of familiarity with the global automotive scene knows that Multimatic has an unparalleled reputation for engineering excellence. I am delighted to have this opportunity to help the company bring its increasingly sophisticated product offerings into the mainstream market.”
