FR500 Mustang Front Suspension Program

Vehicle Profile

Multimatic was contracted by Ford to design a low-volume aluminum subframe and front suspension components for the FR500 Ford Mustang. The design replaces the stock MacPherson strut system. The objectives were to reduce weight and improve the handling characteristics of the car.
